Life Changing Core Values Exercise
Plus how to practice spiritual surrender
Hey Fam,
A couple years ago I was going through a transition after putting my first company to rest.
I had dinner with my friend Michael Tennent, whose the founder of the connection card game, Actually Curious.
I was figuring out my next steps and he asked me what my values were. I had a hard time clarifying them, so he shared a core values exercise with me that literally changed my life.
It created so much clarity for me and helped me align with the person I want to be and the things I want in my life.
I created a similar Core Values Exercise, that can help you clarify what matters most to you. It takes about 10 minutes.

Spiritual SurrenderâA Way To Bring More Possibility and Ease To Your Life
I shared in a previous newsletter how surrender was a major theme for me. It dawned on me that the present moment was always abundant. Possibilities existed beyond my mindâs limited scope or my previous conditioning.
The ego loves to control everything. It creates boundaries and limitations.
Spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle says, âSurrender is to say âyesâ to lifeâŚâ
Essentially spiritual surrender is opening to the many possibilities and not being tied down by a previous reality or identity.
Here are some ways to practice spiritual surrender:
Let go of what no longer serves you
Let go of your need to be in control (you canât control the future)
Let go of limiting beliefs
Open to the infinite possibilities
Have faith in the wisdom and love and power of the source that makes all of this possible
Be patient to allow things to unfold
Practice presence
Meditate
In essence, listen to your heart, appreciate the moment, accept uncertainty and trust that what is for you will not pass you.
