Your Invitation To The Peoples Platform
Plus how Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation can support your goals
Hey Fam,
I’m excited to have you join The Peoples Platform here.
Our community platform was previously only open to purchasers of the Creator Dashboard and now we’re opening it to community members subscribed to the newsletter.
Why we created The Peoples Platform:
Building alone is hard and we need community.
The Peoples is a space to connect, receive support and have accountability for your creative visions and wellbeing.
It’s a Social Community not Social Media.
Most of us are familiar with other social apps that connect us like Instagram and Tik Tok, but The Peoples is designed to be different.
We promote collaboration and support over comparison and criticism.
We prioritize wellbeing over status.
The Peoples is space where you can be more human—more of your self.
What to Look Forward to:
We’re launching monthly challenges on October 4th to support your work and wellbeing—get group encouragement with meditation, exercise, your creations and other challenges the community comes up with.
A space to get feedback and support on your main focuses in work and life
Connect with others through DMS and learn from the resources and insights other community members share.
Much more to come. Together we will build a thriving community.
How Newton’s Law Of Universal Gravitation Can Support Your Goals In Life
I’ve been learning a lot more about physics and it blows my mind how helpful it is when applied to life.
I didn’t care much when I was learning these things in high school, but physics is like the source code of the universe—wild!
Newton’s Law of Gravitation states:
Every particle attracts every other particle in the universe with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.
Here’s the formula for math inclined folks:
In simpler terms this means:
The larger the mass of the bodies, the greater attraction there is between them
The further apart they are the weaker the force is between them.
Applied to life:
The smaller or less ambitious your mission is the less attracted you feel towards it.
However, the more it feels tied to your purpose or the more grand/adventurous it is for you, the more passion and attraction you’ll feel for it.
For example, if you say you want to run a few times a week vs. if you say you want to train for a marathon, the magnitude of the goal will impact your enthusiasm and the pull you feel towards it.
Inversely, the farther you are away from your goal, the less pull you feel towards it.
For example, if you want to write a book, the closer it is to your imagination or physical reality, the stronger your draw will be towards it. If it is something you visualize often or take action on, you’ll feel more of a pull to it than if it’s not treated as a priority.
5 Big Takeaways:
What you’re seeking is seeking you—literally there is a gravitational pull between you and your desire.
Do things that make you feel alive—things that pique your curiosity or feel purposeful to you. You'll have a greater draw to them.
Keep your vision or big picture large enough or adventurous enough to really get you excited.
Keep your goals close to your imagination, emotions and actions. This is why visualization and taking aligned action is so powerful. It allows you to feel more enthusiasm and have a greater pull between you and your desire.
The more something is a priority for you, the greater the pull will be between you and that desire.
